The turn-of-the-century Hotel Adlon Kempinski is opposite the Brandenburg Gate on Unter den Linden boulevard in central Berlin, Germany.  The 1907-built  Hotel was destroyed in World War II and restored to its former glory in 1997.  Dominated by a stained-glass dome, the marble lobby boasts an ornate fountain, Velvet armchairs and gold flourishes. The lobby lounge and bar serves coffee and cocktails accompanied by live piano music.

Decked out with mosaic tiles and frescoes, the Greek-style Adlon Spa comprises a fitness centre, indoor pool, sauna and jetted tubs. The beauty salon provides La Prairie products and massage treatments.

Contrasting soft cream and bold red tones, the Hotel Adlon Kempinski's air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated with silk brocade fabrics and period furnishing. The black marble bathrooms have a separate bath and shower, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.  These rooms are truly decadent.
